Basically selling an item as Used has a general set of stipulations which include that the item is functional. Aside from that I only stated that the drive was still under manufacturers warranty. He pretty much has no claim, but my concern is how ebay has been known to place the buyer first even in extreme situations instead of equally protecting both buyer and seller.

su2ge:  in relation to the drive: Did you put as-is as the condition of the drive? if so, he has no claim. He knew there was a possibility that the drive was defunct and had no warranty through you, but he bought it anyway.

hikaricore:  I'm betting more on the fact the she had millions of views and most of them flagged the video negatively. She had something like 80-90% dislikes and until they closed the comments (a week after it was posted) daily death threats and mentions of physical assault upon her. ^_^

I'd say all in all based on the facts and the shit I've heard he might have a 25% chance of getting something out of it but that's about my best guess. If it comes down to it and paypal tries to transfer the full sale amount from my bank over this I'll be dealing with my bank and closing both my paypal and ebay accounts.

hikaricore:  So the moron I sold the 2Tb drive to on ebay who waited a week to contact me with his claim that it wasn't working is back. After the first time I replied to him that he should check with Seagate about a warranty replacement (since I didn't believe a god damn word of he said) I never heard from him for over a month. So now he wants me to reimburse him like $35 for having to ship the drive to them... the very most he should have paid to ship it was between 6 and 10 dollars. I politely told him to fuck off and now he's trying to claim a full refund again. What a great ing way to start the week eh?

hikaricore:  I tried to avoid the grain but it seems to have worked out as an advantage anyway.

su2ge:  The conversion to GIF also added a nice grainy-ness that wasn't there before.

hikaricore:  Added auto-scaling [img] tag for the hell of it.

hikaricore:  After much pondering on the concept of adding static to a faux-still image and a little bit of research in some other gifs I found it turned out I was able to do it in GIMP using only 4 layers. To be specific I used the shift filter in intervals of 15/30/45 along with two different layer modes and got the desired result. All the source materials I had looked at way overcomplicated the process imho.

hikaricore:  I thought about doing that but opted for to be replaced by instead. ^_^ I figured at the very least was way more offensive than fuck could ever be. For the time being it's the only profanity filter in place, but more may be added in the future if I find anything else amusing. ;) Btw if you don't like it, you can go yourself.
